It’s that time of year again. You know the time when you start planning all the plans. Yep. It’s a fun time. Overwhelming time. I love Christmas. It’s one of my absolute favorite holidays of the year. It’s the time of year when people still go out of their way to be cheery and kind and do things for other people without an ulterior motive. I know there’s a lot of people out there that believe and celebrate a lot of different things and I do believe that it’s important that we all embrace what fulfills our soul. But I also believe in loving other people and showing them respect for their beliefs and traditions. I’ve taught myself over the years to say Happy Holidays to people I don’t know so that I include everyone in my joy! I love that there’s a way that we can be happy about our traditions and respect everyone else’s at the same time. There is no truer way to show love.
What does the holiday season mean to you?
For me…there’s not much that gets better than the spirit of Christmas and hanging with my kids and my husband and making cookies. Getting to spend time with family and friends. Singing carols at the Christmas Eve candlelight service. Sitting around the fire pit with blankets and hot cocoa being thankful for the blessings in my life.
Who is getting ready for Geralt of Rivia with me?
Annnnnnnnd then there’s the other fun tradition we have in my house. Watching all of the Harry Potter Movies. And the Lord of the Rings movies. And we toss a few Hallmark or Netflix films in for good measure. Did anyone else watch A Castle for Christmas yet? ***sobs*** I may be a sap, but I loved that movie.
Also, just in case anyone is counting with me….how many days until the new Witcher season drops. Henry Cavill. You were born to play Geralt of Rivia. Be still my beating heart, I could stare at him all day long on the big screen…. *cough* anyway, ummm, yes.
New Puppy!
Did I tell you guys I got a new puppy? Hubby spoiled me and we got an Australian Shepherd puppy for my birthday back in November. His name is Tony Stark and I may have shot myself in the foot with that one, because he has Tony’s attitude for sure. You know how when you have babies crawling or toddlers, you don’t hang Christmas ornaments low on the tree? Yep. That’s my house this year. My tree looks buck naked on the lower quarter cause Mr. Tony over here with piranha-mouth will snatch things faster than you can say his name, LOL. He’s so smart. He knows he’s not supposed to. He will sneak over there and then when you tell him ‘no’, he jumps away from the tree like we electrocuted him and does this funny little bounce. It’s adorable and sassy and he makes me laugh, but seriously, my poor tree y’all.
Happy Holidays! Stay safe. Love the people around you.
